Grants

Each year, the Council makes a limited sum available to help support  local community and voluntary organisations. The Council wishes to see such organisations flourish and develop in the Village and by awarding small grants helps to achieve this objective.

The Council also awards grants to Corfe Mullen Youth Trust to assist with the running of the Youth Club at Lockyers Hub and to Corfe Mullen Village Hall to maintain and improve the complex for hirers.

Grants awarded to local community and voluntary organisations during the 2024/25 financial year are as follows:

Corfe Mullen Foodbank – £536.10
Corfe Mullen United Juniors Football Club – £850.00
Vision Wimborne Dial-a-ride – £250.00
Corfe Mullen Home Watch – £1000.00
Planet Wimborne – £200.00
Citizens Advice East Dorset & Purbeck – £2000.00
Victim Support – £200.00
Mosaic – £600.00
Corfe Mullen Carnival – £1000.00
Corfe Mullen Carnival (Father Christmas evening parade appeal) – £350.00
Corfe Mullen 5km run and Children’s one-mile fun run – £450.00
Women’s Institute – £200.00

Youth at St Nic’s – £988.40

Corfe Mullen Youth Trust  – £37,000 towards Lockyers Hub rent and staff salaries.  Any unspent grant is returned.

Corfe Mullen Village Hall – £50,000 towards improvements works to the complex including installation of accessible parking spaces and loading bay, along with future enclosed porch and small extension and improvements to the small hall.  Any unspent grant is returned.

During the 2025/26 financial year, the Council has agreed to award grants over two rounds as follows:

  • Round 1:  Grant applications must be received by Friday 20 June 2025 for grants to be awarded by 31 July 2025.
  • Round 2: Grant applications must be received by Friday 3 October 2025 for grants to be awarded by 28 November 2025.

Grant applications for each round will be considered and awarded based on the strength of the application.
