Corfe Mullen Youth Trust - Assistant Youth Support Worker (9 hour contract)
(£12.54 per hour based on JNC Scale Point 7)
Corfe Mullen is situated in East Dorset north of Poole, with a population of approximately 10,140 living across 4290 properties. The village is set in the green belt, encouraging many outdoor activities and enabling excellent recreational facilities for residents and visitors alike.
Corfe Mullen Youth Trust is an important part of the local community, with Corfe Mullen Town Council acting as the Sole Trustee for the Charity.
We are seeking a candidate with the necessary skills and ability to communicate with young people to join our Youth Support team to support young people in Corfe Mullen within our Youth Club setting with some outreach work. The role covers a vast array of areas from carrying out indoor and outdoor activities as part of the Youth Club including sports, cookery, crafts, dancing etc, chaperoning young people on out of school activities and generally supporting the young people should they just need a chat. Any skill you can bring to the team to share with the young people, would be desirable.
This is a 9-hour post, to cover Youth Club evenings which run from 6.30-9.30pm, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, during term time.
